I always wanted to work somewhere that was professional and hardworking, but where they still placed an emphasis on having fun at work; I couldn’t find one, so I built one. I’m happy to say I genuinely think everyone that works for this company enjoys coming to work, and for me, that is what it is all about.
I still like to keep my hand in on the actual recruitment side of the business. The idea is to lead from the front but I have to admit the team are starting to beat me to the top of the league table.
I love to travel and having spent five years living and travelling in some very random places; from a Lion Sanctuary in Zimbabwe to the Snowy Mountains of New Zealand; I like to think I have so far made the most of life.

Karen Wheeler
President President
As the President of Holt Automotive Staffing, I offer over 25 years of recruitment expertise, specializing in both temporary and permanent placements within the Automotive sector. My dedication lies in fostering relationships, and I derive immense satisfaction from collaborating with clients to provide solutions that genuinely enhance their businesses.
At Holt, our guiding principle is ‘Anything but Ordinary,’ a philosophy embodied daily by our skilled team as we actively seek out talent across the Dealership & Retail, Collision, and Heavy Duty / Commercial Transport sectors. Our primary focus spans the East Coast, including regions such as Florida, The Great Lakes, and The Carolinas.

Mark Roberts

As a decorated military combat veteran, I’m proud to have started my career in HRH Armed Forces. Serving 10 years in the Rifles Regiment, including deployments to both Iraq and Afghanistan.
Motorsport and travel have always been my passions, and as my career developed and I transitioned away from military life, I was given wonderful opportunities in the industry with US companies the Haas F1 team and Sunoco Race Fuels.
The natural progression as I became a family man was to move into automotive sales and then automotive recruitment, bringing my wealth of motorsport expertise and specialist knowledge of renowned brands like Vauxhall and Volkswagen. With a background rooted in hard work and discipline, I’m committed to facilitating successful matches between talent and businesses in the automotive sector.
Outside of work, I cherish precious moments with my young daughter and am an unapologetic motorsport, soccer and NFL enthusiast.

I have spent the last 10 years honing my craft and learned that first and foremost, my primary interest is people. Meeting people, helping people, providing exceptional service to people is what I love to do. Coupled with a true appreciation of Michigan’s rich automotive heritage and landscape, I love my job. Pairing the best candidates with the best employers, helping clients find that special someone – when I’m in the office, that’s what it’s all about for me.
Outside of work, the rhythm with which I used to live my life has been obliterated by the arrival of two young sons. When I’m finished wrangling them, I love to explore my local neighborhood with my cocker spaniel, which features a stunning natural harbor with opportunities for boating and biking.

A core memory for me was witnessing the live space shuttle launch from Kennedy Space Center, a spectacle that exemplifies why America is such a great country at the forefront of innovation.
